Out With The Odd Shaped Island And In With A Nice Dog Bonus!
The kitchen was a good size but had an odd island shape and needed some functionality and style. We reshaped the island, adding a coffee bar, beverage refigerator and floating shelves for both convenience and aesthetics. We incorporated high-end Bosch and Thermador appliances and installed MSI Q quartz countertops and high splash, complemented by semi-custom Bishop Cabinets accented with a wood hood and blue island for a seamless look. But the cutest feature of all is the built-in dog bowls for Moose! This was a fun project and great owners to work for.

Wall Removed To Expand Kitchen
A dated kitchen layout limited functionality and style, prompting a significant remodel. We removed walls and soffits to create an open space, installed Fabuwood cabinets in gray, and added MSI Q quartz countertops. Recessed lighting and under-cabinet fixtures enhanced brightness, while a new GE Cafe wall oven and induction cooktop ensured modern efficiency. Vytex windows were installed for improved energy efficiency, completing a stunning transformation that elevated both aesthetics and functionality in this residential kitchen.
Kitchen Remodel That Leads To Lots Of Safety Fixes
As we were progressing through the kitchen demo, we discovered lots of structural issues both with the floor above and the addition the kicthen was in. We reviewed options with the owners and worked to solve the problems. This unfortunately happened again later in the project when it was discovered the house had unsafe wiring and it needed to be removed and replaced. The unfortunate part here is the owner did everything they could to prevent this from happening. They were aware some of these old houses had unsafe electric and specifically looked for it during the home inspection. In the end we were able to overcome the unsafe conditions and create a beautiful kitchen, deck, first floor for our client.
Kitchen Remodel
To create a more open and functional kitchen, we cut down a wall, adding storage, counter space and seating. We replaced cabinets, countertops, and appliances, installed a stylish backsplash, updated flooring, and added recessed and pendant lighting to elevate the overall design. This transformation turned the kitchen into a bright, welcoming area.

Dan and crew were amazing. They constantly kept us up to date during the process and were very easy going when we had some design changes throughout. Great team to work with and excellent quality work!
From start to finish, the team at American Kitchen Concepts provided exceptional service and delivered a final product that exceeded all of my expectations. The design process was seamless and Dan took the time to truly understand out vision for the space. He provided valuable input and made sure that every detail was addressed in the final design. The attention to detail and commitment to quality was evident throughout the entire process. The construction phase was also managed with great care and professionalism. The team was punctual, respectful of my home, and always kept me informed of the progress. They went above and beyond to make sure that the work was completed to the highest standards. The final product is absolutely stunning. The new layout and design have transformed the space and have made it a more functional and beautiful area for my family to gather and entertain. The quality of the materials and craftsmanship is evident in every detail and I could not be happier with the results. We would highly recommend American Kitchen Concepts to anyone considering a kitchen remodel. Their team is professional, skilled, and dedicated to providing the best possible service and final product. We are confident that anyone who chooses American Kitchen Concepts will be as pleased with the results as we are.
My family and I used American Kitchen Concepts and could not have been happier with their services! We recommend Dan and his team without hesitation. Our project initially started as an involved kitchen model (demo down to the studs and moving two doors) in a c. 1900 house, however, it ultimately involved far more than the kitchen. Over the course of our remodel we developed a strong trust in the crew and their assessments- at multiple points there were things (not related to their work) that they could have covered up, been paid and moved on to their next paying job leaving us with a nasty surprise years down the line (eg failing joists). Instead, Dan and his crew slowed down their project to take the time to walk my wife and me through the potential implications of findings, the solutions (which may or may not have involved them) and then allowed us to properly address each issue before continuing the kitchen project. Even beyond the trust, which is so important in an involved project, American Kitchen Concepts craftsmanship and attention to details was exemplary leaving us with a beautiful, transformed first floor of our house!
Dan ( the owner of AKC) was very involved with the project. He has excellent ideas about designs and assisted us throughout the process, cutting costs to keep us close to our budget. The end result is a beautiful kitchen. I wish I could share the picture.....
