Kitchen Remodel
We started by removing the mudroom walls to open up and expand the kitchen. The larger kitchen was transformed into a functional and stylish space by removing the walls and adding custom hutch cabinetry. We replaced the flooring throughout the first floor, installed new cabinets, counters, and appliances, and enhanced the area with a beautiful backsplash, recessed lighting, and undercabinet lighting. Fresh paint completed the modern look.

Removed Walls, Closet And Soffitts To Expand And Redesign
A dated kitchen layout required a complete transformation, so we removed the wall and soffits to create an open space. We installed new a stylish backsplash tile, and upgraded the lighting with recessed and pendant fixtures. To finish, we replaced the flooring with luxurious vinyl tile and installed Forevermark cabinets, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics in this residential kitchen.
Remove Pantry And Soffitt To Expand Kitchen
The outdated kitchen layout lacked functionality and style, prompting a significant remodel. We removed the soffits and pantry, then built a new custom hutch/bar section to enhance usability. Luxury vinyl tile flooring was installed throughout the first floor, creating a cohesive and modern look. With attention to detail, we transformed the space into an inviting area for family gatherings and entertaining.

New Cabinets, Counters And Flooring To Brighten The Space
Outdated kitchen fixtures and surfaces can hinder both functionality and aesthetics. We transformed the space by installing new Forevermark cabinets, elegant natural stone countertops, and a maintenance-free luxury vinyl tile floor throughout the first floor. Additionally, we updated the plumbing with a new kitchen sink and faucet, ensuring everything operates seamlessly. The addition of stylish backsplash tile and under-cabinet lighting completed the modern look, providing both beauty and practicality for everyday use.

Family Referral
We remodeled a family members kitchen about 10 years prior. This project was mostly an update with new fixtures all around. The age of the home did not require a redesign of the space. This kitchen needed a fresh and modern look, so we transformed the space by installing Forevermark shaker cabinets and beautiful natural stone countertops. We also upgraded the recessed and under-cabinet lighting and backsplash tile to tie everything together.
Kitchen Remodel
A dated kitchen layout was in need of a modern transformation. We updated the space by replacing drywall, installing new cabinets, counters, and appliances, and enhancing the flooring and backsplash. We also upgraded the electrical and plumbing systems, ensuring a functional and stylish kitchen for the homeowner to enjoy.

Kitchen Remodel
To enhance the kitchen's functionality and aesthetics, we demoed the soffits, pantry walls, and existing cabinets. We then installed new cabinets reaching the ceiling, complemented with elegant counters and a stylish backsplash. The upgrade included high-quality hardwood flooring and the reinstallation of appliances, transforming the space into a modern and efficient space.
Kitchen Remodel And Mold Work To Include Replacing Exterior Wall
Homeowner discovered mold while demoing the kitchen. AKC troubleshooting discovered a leaky window that had caused extensive damage. After replacing the exterior wall, we ressumed our kitchen remodel. We redigned the space to make better use of the layout and work for the clients cooking style.
Kitchen And Bathrooms
To improve the kitchens layout, we removed the existing drywall closet and installed new semi-custom quality cabinets. The addition of elegant quartz countertops, a stylish ceramic tile floor, and modern lighting transformed the space into a functional and inviting area.

We had a very positive experience working with American Kitchen Concepts on our kitchen renovation. Dan and his team exceeded our expectations with their clear communication, keeping us informed daily and coordinating seamlessly with other contractors. Their professionalism showed in how they anticipated issues, offered valuable advice that improved our project, and kept the process moving efficiently. Despite the complexity of the renovation, they completed everything in under two months as promised. Every member of the crew was courteous, respectful of our home, and showed up on time every day. We're pleased with the final result and would highly recommend them.
We love our new kitchen by American Kitchen Concepts. We chose them after many estimates and they did a fantastic job. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a quality contractor for a kitchen remodel.
We hired American Kitchen Concepts in March 2021 to completely expand and upgrade our kitchen to include cabinetry, countertops, flooring, lighting, plumbing, and new appliance installation. Based on discussions about existing flooring, lighting, and layout in adjacent rooms, powder room and laundry room, we added these areas to the project. In the end, AKC installed luxury vinyl flooring to the entire ground floor. The hallmark feature of this project was only having to work with one consultant and project manager, Dan Millard, owner of AKC. He gets an A++ for being exceptionally attentive to our wishes, always returning correspondence and calls promptly, personally handling every aspect of the project, and making us smarter on numerous elements of renovating kitchens. The product lines and features he suggested, and ultimately chosen, worked out very well. We would give the sub-contractors, who did the bulk of the work, a B+ in craftsmanship and attention to detail. They lost an A+ score because of occasional carelessness and sometimes failing to see flaws or damage in their carpentry or products installed. Overall, given the scope of this project and supply chain challenges of getting materials delivered on time, arriving without issues ...we are very pleased with how it all came together and how it enhances our entire ground floor. I would highly recommend AKC to anyone.
We love our new kitchen! American Kitchen Concepts was highly recommended by family for their good service. Dan took a lot of the anxiety and confusion out of the process. We had driven ourselves crazy touring individual retailers for flooring, cabinetry, countertops and so forth. So many options, so many decisions and so much coordination required! Dan’s showroom has a nice selection of all those products. After a couple of visits and with his advice and help, we were able to put together materials and a design that we loved at a competitive price we could afford (using discounts). He suggested improvements we now love (e.g., the undercabinet lighting and touch-on faucet). Some of our want-to-haves proved impractical. The spice rack and “magic corner” shelves could not fit in the spaces we allotted for them. Dan swapped them out for other good options and refunded the extra cost. They were also able to repair problems discovered during demo, for a fee. The lead team member, Cameron, has a wealth of skills and knowledge. He made sure everything was done properly and to our satisfaction. Dan is the owner, designer, liaison to suppliers and project manager. He is the single point of contact and responsibility, making things much less stressful. Construction was essentially done in 4 weeks (record time according to friends). Months later they will still swing by if we need advice or adjustments. Again, we love our new kitchen!

This is an update to my previous review. I had felt something was unfinished and as soon as I posted my review, Dan contacted me and my husband, and was at our house within days to resolve the issue. I am very happy with the solution. It looks great! Dan and his crew are very professional and courteous. They gutted a dirty old kitchen and turned it into a bright refreshing space for our family. Overall, I'm happy with the way our kitchen turned out. It looks great and is very functional.
After getting several quotes, we decided to work Dan and American Kitchen Concepts. We appreciated his level of knowledge and how the quote was based on the specific materials we ended up using and not a generic guess. The quote was pretty true to what we finally paid too, after we had to deal with some mold and other unforeseen issues. His crew was very nice and cleaned up after themselves every day. We really appreciated that because we have two small children. They worked pretty quickly and things were timed well between demo, installation, paint, and flooring so that there weren’t too many days where nothing was being done. Once the majority was done, Dan came back a couple of times to inspect everything, fix some minor things, and ensure that we were happy with everything. The end results were beautiful. We have been very happy with our new kitchen that is both more attractive and more functional. We would recommend Dan and American Kitchen Concepts to people looking for a kitchen upgrade.
We are extremely happy with how our new kitchen turned out. We worked with multiple contractors on quotes at the beginning of the process, and although Dan’s quote was higher than the rest, he was the only one we trusted to do the job right. Multiple other contractors gave us drawings that showed they were going to cover the electrical panel with a cabinet or pantry. Dan was the only one that clearly stated that was not allowed. He worked with us on setting up a design that met our needs and worked well in the space we had. To save ourselves some money, we took the demolition of the space upon ourselves (including taking down a wall, and removing all old appliances, counters, cabinets, and flooring). When we finished demolition of the old kitchen, we found a mold problem in our wall. We had Dan and his crew check out the wall, and got quotes from roofers as it appeared the leak was coming from the roof. Again, multiple contractors said we should be able to shore up the studs and only replace a few pieces, while Dan and his crew were confident it needed to be completely repaired. We’re glad we went with Dan and his recommendation, because we discovered that the leak was coming from a window in the wall, and had caused so much damage that everything in that area had to be replaced. Finally, everything was smooth sailing for finishing the kitchen once the repair was done. We had a gas line installed, water lines changed slightly, and the entire kitchen was redone (new floor, cabinets, countertops, and appliances). All of the work from Dan’s crew was done in a timely manner, and done well. We would absolutely call Dan again if (and more likely when) we want to do more renovations on our house.

The entire process went smoothly from start to finish, and the results are stunning. I can't recommend Dan and his team highly enough! My husband and I started discussing kitchen remodeling with several contractors in December 2017, and Dan was by far the most attentive. He listened to what we wanted, asked questions about problems we wanted solved, and developed a design based on our discussions. He helped us choose cabinets, counters, sinks, faucets, and undercabinet lighting, and referred us to a flooring supplier to pick the exact tile we wanted in both the kitchen and downstairs bath. He developed a detailed cost estimate including all steps and materials for the project. The estimate was a bit higher than we were prepared for, and he helped us make changes so we could stay in budget and still meet our goals. We signed a contract in January, with a planned start date in mid-February. Dan gave us advance notice on what to do before work started, and explained each stage of the project (demolition, wiring, flooring, cabinets, counters, plumbing, and finishing), with an overall estimated timeframe of 3-1/2 to 4 weeks for completion. Cameron and Rob started on February 22 and finished all major work March 20, right on time, with a couple of minor adjustments the next week. Throughout the process, Dan stopped by the house to review progress, answer questions, and make adjustments as needed. Cameron and Rob did beautiful work, were always courteous and professional, and left the work area spotless every day. We are extremely glad to have worked with them!
